Abstract

|
Purpose: To evaluate the effects of the traditional behavioral-cognitive reflection program which was designed to promote the insight for the patients who have alcohol dependence. Method: The data were collected from 21 patients who participated in the program over 2 months(PG) and 22 for non-participants group(NPG). The interventional program was consisted with daily learning about the behavioral regulation and weekly session for evaluation and feedback. The data were analyzed using x2-test and t-test etc. Finding: There were significant differences on the total insight score and 5 sub-domains between two groups. Thirty-eight percent of participants attain the good insight level after the proram. And behavioral reflection score was correlated with the insight score(r--.306). Conclusion: The intervention can be recommended to be a effective therapeutic program for the clients with alcohol dependence. More efforts should be put into strengthening the program through the research.
